Inositol

It is a member of the vitamin B complex. Not a true vitamin because the body can manufacture it.

Functions of Inositol

  • Is a fat-solubilizing agent.
  • Works with choline: helps to transport fat from the liver.
  • Helps to control blood cholesterol levels.

Food Sources of Inositol

Lecithin, beef heart, beef liver, wheatgerm, soya, eggs, citrus fruits, wholegrains, nuts.

No specific symptoms
