NutriSystem Diet
Principle of the NutriSystem Diet:
NutriSystem started in 1972. It has undrgone many developmental milestones till it has become the the secong biggest commercial dieting program (second to Weight Watchers). The Nutrisystem program is based mainly on the Glycemic Index including low glycemic index carbohydrates. The principle is to restrict the diet to accurate portions based around the persons required calorie count. NutriSystem sells to consumers pre-packaged meals direct from their website, TV, etc…that are delivered to your door. Nutrisystem’s membership is free and offers free phone counselling. There are various level exercise plans which is highly recommended if you are wishing to lose weight.
Foods in the NutriSystem diet:
A typical day would include 3 meals and 2 snacks. The food is available directly from NutriSystem (via their web site), who ship the food directly to the customer. There are options for men, women, diabetics and vegetarians.
Advantages of the NutriSystem Diet Plan:
The NutriSystem program does provide more than a diet. A weight loss counselor is available via online chat (there is apparently no charge for this service). They also provide more information regarding exercise and building a healthy mind.
Disadvantages of the NutriSystem Diet Plan:
Many people will not continuing buying foods like this for the rest of their life, and will have to ‘wean off’ the program. As with many packaged food diets, some will not enjoy the taste of the NutriSystem food products. Nutrisystem meals will never taste like fresh, whole fruits and vegetables.
