Principle of Cabbage Soup Diet:

The Cabbage Soup Diet is a soup that burns fat and contains few calories. There is a direct relation between the amount of soup you consume and the weight you are going to lose. You can eat as much soup as you want, so you can eat unlimited amounts of food while losing weight fast.

Food and the Cabbage Soup Diet:

The food types allowed are strange combinations of food that force you to starve each day. You are allowed all the water and cabbage soup you want + very restricted amounts of other foods.

Disadvantages of Cabbage Soup Diet:

Actually, the diet is effective for temporarily losing weight. However, this is not a very nutritionally healthy diet and certainly not one to live on. Note: Like most other diets, if you have a specific health problem, you should consult your health care provider.

Sample plan of The Cabbage Soup Diet Plan :

In this plan, you are allowed to eat as much soup as you want for seven days and the expected weight loss is 10 to 15 pounds.

  1. Day 1:
    As much soup as you want
    As much fruit as you want except banana
    Unsweetened tea, black coffee, cranberry juice, and water.
  2. Day 2:
    As much soup as you want
    No fruit for today.
    As much vegetables as you want, raw, or cooked. Any type except dry beans, peas, and sweet corn.
    Reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter for dinner.
  3. Day 3: 1+2
    As much soup as you want
    As much fruit as you want except banana
    As much vegetables as you want, raw, or cooked. Any type except dry beans, peas, and sweet corn.
    No baked potato.
  4. Day 4:
    As much soup as you want
    As much bananas as you want up to 8 bananas
    As much skim milk as you want.
  5. Day 5:
    Eat soup at least once.
    Beef , OR broiled or baked chicken (skinless) OR broiled fish, 300-500g (10-20 ounces).Fresh Tomatoes up to six .
    Water, at least 6 to 8 glasses today to wash the uric acid from your body.
  6. Day 6:
    Eat soup at least once.
    Beef , OR broiled or baked chicken (skinless) OR broiled fish, 300-500g (10-20 ounces).
    As much vegetables as you want, raw, or cooked. Any type except dry beans, peas, and sweet corn.
    No baked potato for today.
  7. Day 7:
    Eat soup at least once.
    As much brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices, and vegetables as you want.
    No bread, alcohol, carbonated beverages, or diet soda.
